The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to pass a bill on Friday

that would fund the federal government through December 16, avoiding a partial shutdown less than six weeks before the midterm elections.

The legislation provides funding for federal agencies and an additional $12.3 billion to support Ukraine's war effort against the Russian invasion.

This will help Ukraine to continue its fight against Russian aggression and protect its people from further harm.

After the Senate passed the measure on Thursday, the House is expected to pass it as well on Friday.
