An appeal court ruled on Wednesday

the Justice Department can resume reviewing classified records seized

from the Florida home of former President Donald Trump pending appeal,

Trump criminal probe

boosting a criminal investigation into the mishandling

or compromise of the records.

There is a possibility that Trump's lawyers could ask

the conservative Supreme Court to take action in the case, as three of its justices were appointed by him.

There was no immediate comment from a Justice Department spokesperson.
